Chris, 1) I rented that wetsuit from wetsuitrentals.com last year and they allowed me to keep it for a pretty reasonable price. I had been told by some people that they are less restrictive, especially if the suit doesn't fit quite right. Since I was ordering online and couldn't try it on, I decided to go with the sleeveless. I kind of wish I had gone with a full sleeve suit now though because clearly they are the faster option (most people at races and all Pro's use sleeves). 2) I'm pretty sure it was short. I spoke with the guy that had the fastest swim leg (used to swim for Cal) and he thought it was pretty accurate. However, I did a 1650 yard time trial last night at a close-to all out effort in 21:44. I guess it is possible I took a very good line and the extra buoyancy from the suit and salt water made the difference.

Randy, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I love going back and reading my race reports from the past and that alone is worth the effort to me, but I'm glad others enjoy them as well!

Wow, great job! Looks like the course might have been a little bit long on the bike and run, too... you could've broken 2:00 if it were accurately measured.

Couple questions:
- What was your reasoning for using the short sleeve wetsuit? Better range of motion?

- Do you feel the swim was accurately measured, or maybe a marginal bit short?

Thanks for any answers, and great job!
